Concessions Handbook & Information

We use the DIBs tool to schedule volunteer hours, concession hours and ice credits.  The online system ensures all shifts are covered for each event, attendance is monitored and promptly credited, no-shows are properly managed, and successful completion of your obligation is actively encouraged.

A large portion of volunteer hours will be available during tryouts and during the Brick City Tournament (Thanksgiving weekend). There will be additional volunteer hours available later but we suggest you take advantage of the opportunities early in the season.

Volunteer opportunities are available on a first come/first serve basis. Once you have registered and are in the system, you can sign up for your shifts at any time.

The Concessions FAQ's is located below.  Detailed procedures are located in the concession stands.

CONCESSION STAND SHIFTS

There are 2 types of concession stand shifts which can be claimed in Dibs: Volunteer shifts and Ice Credit shifts. When signing up for a concession shift, please review the right side of the screen for either “volunteer” or “ice credits.” We will not be transferring any of these hours!

Concession stand shifts- Credit will be given for the exact length of the posted shift. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the start of your shift to ease shift transitions.

** Important Note: Please start cleaning up 20-30 minutes before your shift is scheduled to end. During this time, continue to serve customers.

VOLUNTEER SHIFTS

Volunteer shifts are the shifts that help fulfill your volunteer requirement for the season. Further information about Volunteer shifts can be found in the Volunteer FAQ section and in the Volunteer Policy.

ICE CREDIT SHIFTS

Ice Credit Shift is a concession stand shift that you are paid to work. The current rate of pay is $15.00 per hour. The money you earn for completed Ice Credit shifts is credited to your account and can only be used to offset player fees for the next season*. In order to claim an Ice Credit shift and receive credit, previous experience of having worked at least 3 volunteer shifts (in any previous years) in the concession stand is required. Ice Credit workers are considered experienced workers and are the leaders that the volunteer workers look to for guidance when they are new to concessions. Ice credit shifts are not required and do not count toward your family volunteer hours.

* This is a “Use it or Lose it” credit situation. Ice Credit hours may be banked from season to season, but you will not receive any monetary payment for any ice credits accrued and unused at the time that your player/family is no longer a member of the CCHA.
