Hello hockey parents!

We have a fabulous weekend in store for you and your skaters!

Here is a quick summary of what to expect as we wrap up another great season.

We have a super line-up of vendors and activities this year...some old favorites and new ones too. These vendors support our association, so please be supportive of them too. See schedule listed below. Please note that the vendors may vary by day.

New this year!  "Shoot on your coach."  Kids can test their skill by shooting on their coach on Sat and Sun from 10am-3:30pm.  Prizes will be awarded for participation and for scoring.  1 raffle ticket earns you three chances.  Tickets may be purchased at the welcome desk.  For the line-up of coaches, please see the front lobby and/or shoot on your coach station in the upper deck of the west rink .

Also, new this year is our raffle and silent auction.  Stop by the welcome desk to purchase your raffle tickets, and browse the front conference room for a fantastic line-up of items that will knock your hockey socks off.  Raffle and silent auction winners will be announced at 3:00 on Sunday. See welcome desk for details and rules.

In a pinch for food?  No worries...stay and eat!  Roulettes pizza and sandwiches, Fresh Season's cookies and donuts, as well as our regular concession stand items will be available for purchase.

For those of you who ordered pre-sale Jamboree t-shirts, they will be available at the welcome desk starting Friday night.

The Rookies are a part of the 2012 Jamboree!!!

This fabulous 3-day hockey tournament is for the Rookies, Termites, Mini Mites, Mites, U6 and U8 girls.  It is an event they look forward to all year.  In addition to the hockey games, there will be shopping opportunities in the new “Hockey Village”, special food, $1 raffle items, a silent auction, “Shoot on your Coach”, face painting & MORE!!!

ROOKIES GAME TIME:  Saturday, March 3^rd @ 10:00 (Victoria West)

The event starts Friday night.  Feel free to come and see Goldy!

*Guess who is coming to visit the 2012 Hockey Jamboree?  Goldy Gopher himself!  He will be visiting the Victoria Recreation Center on Friday Night, March 2, from 6:30-8:30 ONLY.   You will be able to get a 5x7 picture taken with Goldy by Proex Photography for only $5.00.  Pictures are taken and paid for on Friday night and the next day, when you come for your game, you can pick them up.  

One lucky winner will win an 11x14 with Goldy provided by Proex!  We will have an area for taking the pictures with Goldy.  If you find Goldy wandering the Rec Center, feel free to take your own picture, but in our designated area we ask that you allow Proex to be the Photographer!

• What is the Rookie Mite Fee to play?
  • $175
• Are we required to sell the Gold Cards for our Rookie Mite skater?
  • No Gold Cards are required your Rookie Mite skater.
• Are we required to perform Volunteer Hours for our Rookie Mite skate?
  • No Volunteer Hours are Required for your Rookie Mite skater.
• How Many Ice Touches can we Expect for Rookie Mites?
  • We are targeting 16 to 18 Ice Touches for the season.
• Are the Ice Times always the same and at the same location?
  • No, the Ice Times and Rink Locations will change through-out the season.
• Do Rookie Mite Coaches and Team Managers get Volunteer Hours towards their families account?
  • Yes, if you Coach or are a Team Manager in the Rookie Mites, eventhough your Rookie Mite is not Required for Volunteer Hours, you can put your Volunteer Hours Coaching or Team Managing the Rookie Mites towards your overall family account for Volunteer Hours required.  Thus, if you have another skater at a higher level, your Rookie Mite Coaching or Team Managing will go towards your account.  Rookie Mite Coaches will receive 5 Volunteer Hours and Rookie Mite Team Managers will receive 3 Volunteer Hours.
• Will there be Team Pictures for Rookie Mites?
  • Yes, we have scheduled December 11th from 12:15pm to 1:15pm for the Rookie Mites pictures.
• Do Rookie Mite Coaches need to be USA Hockey Certified?
  • Yes, all Coaches in the CCHA need to be USA Hockey Certified, see USAHockey.com under the Coaches Section for detailed information about coaching requirements and classes in the Minnesota area.
