Information about the Lower Girls Hockey Program (6U, 8U)


  • Lower girls registration closes October 31, 2019.


  • That's right, families who are new to CCHA and reside within School District 112 are eligible to play 1/2 the hockey season for free!  Check out the below CCHA 2019 Upcoming Events Flyer (PDF below, page 2) for more information.

Save the Dates:

  • 2019 Try Hockey for Free Dates: 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/13, 10/20, and 10/27 from 12:15 p.m.-1:00 p.m. at Chaska Community Center Rink 2.   This is a free opportunity for new players or kids who are interested in trying hockey, ages 4-10, to explore hockey in a fun and relaxed environment.  Bring your friends!!
  • 2019 Little StormHawks Camp (8U girls, 6U girls, Mites), 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/13, 10/20 and 10/27 at Chaska Community Center, Rink 2 (ice times vary).  Little Stormhawks Camp is FREE for first-time skaters and only $75 for returning players.  Copy the following link and paste into your browser for further information about registration:
  • 2019 Girls Hockey Day, 10/5 from 1:45-3:45 p.m. at Chaska Community Center, Rink 1.  Come celebrate girls hockey in your community.  Fun activities on and off the ice!

Hockey Equipment Check List

Required Hockey gear:

  • Hockey Skates
  • Hockey Helmet with Face Mask
  • Mouth Guard (with strap – attached to the Face Mask)
  • Neck Guard
  • Hockey Gloves
  • Shin Pads
  • Shoulder Pads
  • Elbow Pads
  • Hockey Stick – wood stick, composite stick or similar (NOTE: no plastic street hockey sticks or plastic blades). SIZE - stick should hit bottom of nose with no skates on
  • Athletic Supporter (pelvic protector for girls). These usually have velcro to hold up hockey socks
  • Hockey Pants/Breezers (suspenders if needed to hold up the Pants/Breezers)

Visit any of the local sporting goods stores to find equipment, skates (new or used) and most importantly, get properly sized for all your equipment, skates and stick. 

CCHA will provide Jersey and Hockey Socks
