Girls Hockey Day 10/5/19

A Great Celebration of Girls Hockey!

 

Thanks to all of you who were able to attend Girls Hockey Day on October 5th.   Over 60 girls hit the ice for a fun afternoon filled with free skate, on-ice games, shooting contests, fun raffle prizes, and best of all -- friends!   And a special thank you to our generous CCHA Girls Families for donating 217 POUNDS of food and personal care items for Bountiful Basket Food Shelf in Chaska!  


Hockey Equipment Check List

Required Hockey gear:

  • Hockey Skates
  • Hockey Helmet with Face Mask
  • Mouth Guard (with strap – attached to the Face Mask)
  • Neck Guard
  • Hockey Gloves
  • Shin Pads
  • Shoulder Pads
  • Elbow Pads
  • Hockey Stick – wood stick, composite stick or similar (NOTE: no plastic street hockey sticks or plastic blades). SIZE - stick should hit bottom of nose with no skates on
  • Athletic Supporter (pelvic protector for girls). These usually have velcro to hold up hockey socks
  • Hockey Pants/Breezers (suspenders if needed to hold up the Pants/Breezers)

Visit any of the local sporting goods stores to find equipment, skates (new or used) and most importantly, get properly sized for all your equipment, skates and stick. 

CCHA will provide Jersey and Hockey Socks
