As was announced in the 2016-17 season,  Beginning with the 2017-18 season, all CCHA players on the "Upper" levels (Squirt/U10, Peewee/U12, Bantam/U15) will be required to wear black helmets, gloves and breezers (or shell). These requirements do not apply to Rookie, Termite, Mini-mite, Mite or 6U/8U teams, however we encourage all players to purchase black equipment when possible.

Minnesota Hockey Participation Rule Verification/Player Eligibility

CCHA is a community based hockey association that serves all players who live within the Eastern Carver County School District 112 boundaries.

EVERY player that lives outside the Eastern Carver County School District 112 and open enrolls into a public or private school located within the District 112 boundaries must abide by Minnesota Hockey’s waiver policy to play for CCHA. That policy requires you to contact your home association to start the waiver process. New players who are waiving in for the first time are not eligible to participate on the highest level team (AA or A) in their first year with CCHA. The waiver process will need to be repeated with each school change, i.e. elementary to middle or middle to high school.

Home address and school enrollment will be verified as part of the waiver and registration process.
