GAME DAY VOLUNTEERS
Our hockey games run smoothly thanks to the support of our amazing parent volunteers. Each game requires a few key roles to make sure everything is safe, organized, and enjoyable for players, coaches, and families.
- Locker Room Monitor
- Helps ensure a safe and supervised environment before and after games. Locker Room Monitors check in on players, help manage traffic in and out of the locker rooms, and make sure team rules and SafeSport policies are being followed.
- Scoreboard Operator
- Runs the scoreboard during the game, keeping track of goals, penalties, and time. The operator works closely with referees and other volunteers to make sure the clock and score are accurate throughout the game. Training is simple and provided before you begin.
- Gamesheet Recorder
- Keeps the official game sheet up to date with goals, assists, and penalties as reported by referees. The recorder ensures the scorebook accurately reflects the game in the GameSheet App. This role is critical for league records and statistics, and training will be provided.
- Penalty Box Attendant
- Assists players serving penalties by opening and closing the box doors, making sure players know when their penalty time is up, and communicating with the timekeeper. This role helps keep the game flowing smoothly and safely.
Volunteering for one of these positions is a great way to support your player and the team. Training and guidance will always be available—no one is left on their own.
